High surface hardness paint suitable for decorative coating of steel surfaces exposed to permanent high temperatures (200 - 600°C). Paint has satiny, or glossy finish.
To achieve the proper covering rate it is recommended to use 0,5 - 0,9 mm nozzle when spraying. Steel sheet or cast iron surfaces must be thoroughly degreased and cleaned from oxides by shot blasting with edgy granules. Spraying of 40-50 µm wet film will result in an optimal 20-30 µm dry film thickness. Paint dries at 25° C slowly, at 80° C within 20-30 minutes, and at 100° C it forms a hard, scratch resistant coating within 5-10 minutes. Eventual defects can be repaired at 25° C drying by overspraying without risk of scaling.
Our R&D Department elaborates paint formulations for industrial use. Primary task is to realize FKI's own product development targets. Technical Service lab is part of the R&D department, which adjusts the paint parameters to customers' requirements and renders direct technical assistance.
We take part in national and international development projects in cooperation with industrial partners and university research teams.
Research and DevelopmentThe aim of the paint industry experts' work is to ensure high quality surface-protection job for the customers. The preconditions of the successful execution of painting and surface-protection process are the elaboration of the technology most suitable for on-site needs, the correct choice of the coating and the monitoring of the execution.
The tests required for our expert activities are carried out according to the current MSZ EN ISO standards.
