DOMEX lacquer can be used to form surfaces with open or semi-closed pores, exclusively indoors.
The great advantage of the DOMEX lacquers is that the original colour and pattern of the wood remains visible. DOMEX lacquer dries quickly and provides an aesthetic coating. DOMEX lacquers can be applied by brush or by spraying.
Apply DOMEX lacquer at a temperature above 10ºC onto a dry, sanded wood surface. Always stir the paint before application. We recommend applying the first layer of lacquer diluted with 5 % of water, the second layer undiluted. For an aesthetic coating we recommend to apply 2-3 layers, always sanding the surface of the last layer before applying the next one. The layers can be overcoated after 3 hours drying at room temperature. During application the wet layers are slightly opaque, but when fully dried, a clear, silky gloss or matte surface will be obtained. Environmentally friendly, non-flammable!
Our R&D Department elaborates paint formulations for industrial use. Primary task is to realize FKI's own product development targets. Technical Service lab is part of the R&D department, which adjusts the paint parameters to customers' requirements and renders direct technical assistance.
We take part in national and international development projects in cooperation with industrial partners and university research teams.
Research and DevelopmentThe aim of the paint industry experts' work is to ensure high quality surface-protection job for the customers. The preconditions of the successful execution of painting and surface-protection process are the elaboration of the technology most suitable for on-site needs, the correct choice of the coating and the monitoring of the execution.
The tests required for our expert activities are carried out according to the current MSZ EN ISO standards.
